Setting and Achieving Goals- any 'supporters' out there?

Post by Swisschoc » Wed, 10 Aug 2005 2:28 pm

Ive decided to get out of my mental, emotional, physical AND spiritual rut and get my life moving..... BUT I have very few friends who are the type who will actually encourage and support the process. I am very good at being a 'life coach' to others but cant do it for myself (does a Dentist do his own teeth, a hairdresser do his own hair?).

I have ONE friend who has been good in that sense but he's become very busy of late so i dont want to burden him.. and sometimes a group can offer different things for each other..

I realise that trying to clear up stuff in all areas of my life all at once is too ambitious. Are there people out here who are VERY serious about changing one or more aspects of your life and would want some sort of support to stay on track? We could get together a cohesive group and encourage and motivate each other.

we could all look up some information on the internet about goal setting, life coaching, etc and then get together to share how we may get a move.

We really want this to be a group of focused people-not for socialising and networking (altho that will happen inevitably after the get togethers)-

You must be able to communicate and articulate well and have the attitude of wanting to help others..

Show of hands please?
Thank you.

I am a good initator but hardly follow through. I'm trying to get better to see things through to completion through taking affirmative action.

I'd be interested :)

So if there was something you wanted to complete and had trouble getting into it, you dont mind if your 'buddy' or 'buddies' in the group called you up and followed up on how you were getting along and challenged you as to what was holding you back?

Could you do/ would be comfortable doing the same for someone else in the group?

Thats it, one show of hands and 2 replies? No other supporter or people willing to be 'buddies' to help each other become better in some way?
