I am pretty sure it is the Dr. himself. No Thai worker would replies email writes with perfect english. Even those from Bumrungrad & Yanhee, they don't write good English!

Haha... not true, some medical agents like 've access to a few physician's emails. There's a email consultant thing, and the agents could be a westerner, australian in particular. There's a time lag/ difference.

But i think the email is from the Dr. himself, because he quoted in THB.

Bumrungrad & Yanhee has consultants who work 24hrs, they're the 'translators' who also attend when the international patient needs something at night.

my friends recommend a few names of surgeons in singapore. namely dr harry kok n dr fong ph him of ttsh. they mentioned they are very famous.

no, my friend just gave me their contacts. but i don't widh to go for consultation and waste the money if they aren't really that good.

I have just consulted my gynae on recommending a good surgen for tummy tuck. But he advised me against it. He remarked that Asian skin don't heal as well as caucasians. He said that apart from haveing a firmer and flatter tummy, I still won;t be able to put on bikinis or midriff tops as the scarring will be quite bad.

Has anyone done a tummy tuck before where the results are fabulous ?

Please advise.

Consider the extend of scarring. I've had a C-section & my scar seemed to have healed very well & I'm asian. I have stretch marks on my tummy & I have to decide whether I want an over hanging tummy & stretch marks or an extension of my C-section scar, I'd rather the latter coz either ways I already have scars. Why don't you browse through the web & find before after pictures so that you can know what to expect. You have to be realistic in your expectations. From my experience, I've never had a doctor recommend cosmetic surgery. They always say what's wrong, its nature & so on. I'm going to bangkok for my tummy tuck because I think they do a lot of it there & probably are more experienced. Some may dispute but ultimately its up to you & you'd have to do your research to find a surgeon that you're comfortable with.

For Local surgeons, i'm in favour of Dr. Vincent Yeow; because i'd seen his works. (For facial cosmetics procedures)

For Tummytucks, it depends on the skill & experiences of the surgeon; unlike Liposuction, Rhinoplasty augmentation, Eyelid surgery & even facelift.

Tummy Tucks, Rhinoplasty reduction, Breast reduction & Breast lift should be still best handled by the better doctors who're in the slightly expensive category.

The choice of 'scaring' will be different, as far as possible; the 'cut' would be slightly under the abdominal crease across the public area. An incision is also made around the belly button. (Possibly with a abdominoplasty, the patient will have a new belly button. (new opening is cutted from the skin)

You must be sure, you won't want another baby....

Yes, unfortunately; you've to accept that the 'incision line' leaves a permanent scar. I'd seen abdominoplasty done by a much-celebrated BKK hospital, the incision is in the belly area. That is bizarre!

I still hope to warn folks here against a BKK hospital, whose website is designated for Plastic surgery only.

I really feel very inferior about my unsightly tummy and the current trend of dressing is not helping either.

I'll let you know all about my adventure in Nov when its done. I'm really looking forward to it & I'm doing it all alone. Everyone thinks I'm mad including my husband. He thinks its totally unnecessary & uncalled for to have someone cut me up. He's very afaid that I won't come abck alive! Till then...

So unless you're middle-age, and has a couple of kids; don't consider it.

I decided to go for my tummy tuck after much consideration & it wasn't a hasty decision overnight.
