Converting Pounds to Singapore Dollars

Post by MrCurrency » Fri, 22 Jul 2005 12:25 pm

Folks,

Does anyone know what is the best rate offered by bank or any other institution if I need to convert pounds to Singapore Dollars? The amount is about GBP30k and it is currently in a local Singapore bank ACU account.

Please advise what is the best I can do.

Thanks.

Talk to some of the money changers- esp in Raffles Place vicinity - some will do a deal for you- its a very large amount- so maybe not but ask them- see what they say first and post here.. their answers

of course u need to call a few banks and check with them too..

I seriously think that money changers would not be able to handle such a large sum of money (GBP30,000), but no harm asking.

The rates for banks are quite standard. You could refer to the undermention URL for exchange rates in DBS :
