I once got a participation award for Cricket in JC. Wonder if I should have included that in my SC applicationsingaporeflyer wrote: ↑Wed, 10 Nov 2021 11:53 am
Have a try again. 30-40% chance.
Item 5 related to Tennis may not add much value.

Likely will get it
If rejected, work on increasing the salary and then reapply again.

You will get it this time or in the next attempt for sure.ray5g wrote: ↑Wed, 10 Nov 2021 5:22 pmHello everyone,
I have applied for the PR in March 2021 and the application status is pending. Can you help me assess the probability of my PR application getting approved?
This is my profile (Copying the template followed on this forum):
Age: 27
Race and nationality: Indian
Gender: Male
Marital Status: Single
Education: PhD in Computer Science from NTU and B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from India
Experience: 1.5 years as AI specialist in Singapore-based MedTech SME.
Length of stay in SG: 5.5 years (4 years Ph.D. + 1.5 years work)
Salary: Basic SGD 80K + Bonus
Pass: Employment Pass
Thanks in advance!
If you don't get it this time, apply again after you complete 1-2 years of working in SG after your degree. I feel you will eventually get it. Need to be a patient for a little longer.XiaoZhuZhux3 wrote: ↑Wed, 10 Nov 2021 8:40 pmHi!
I've been stalking this forum for quite some time and I would really appreciate some inputs on my profile:
Main applicant
Age:25
No of years in sg: 20+ (I've been here since young, raised by my foster parents, uncle is a SGrean)
Salary: 52k included bonus/ annum
Profession: Assistant Operations Manager
Experience: 3+ years in a SG E-commerce SME, 2+ years as a business operations executive in a SME
Education: Singapore Diploma (Kindergarden - Poly in SG)
Ethnicity: Chinese
Nationality: Taiwanese
Gender: Female
Marital Status: Single
Pass: EP
I've applied twice, once after graduation and the other during my first job. Both failed, probably due to the low salary.
Currently, I've applied for the 3rd time during this 1st April, with my new job (promotion in the first 2 years and yearly pay increment).
I am practically raised in Singapore all my life, but due to many family circumstances and many other factors, I wasn't able to obtain a PRship/SCship. I've never moved to any other country but was forced to exit SG once because my workplace did not manage to get my pass approved in time. :'(
I'm looking to go for my degree in Business/Tech this January 2022, and probably have to drop this application if they don't get back by mid-Dec. Would this detriment my future application?
Additional qns: what are the chances of students getting PR?
Hope to seek your kind wisdom!

PHD from local uni is the key factor in your case.ray5g wrote: ↑Thu, 11 Nov 2021 9:37 amHi SGFlyer, singaporeflyer wrote: ↑Wed, 10 Nov 2021 6:04 pmYou will get it this time or in the next attempt for sure.ray5g wrote: ↑Wed, 10 Nov 2021 5:22 pmHello everyone,

Thank you for the prompt response. Can you share what are the factors that would work for and against my application? After reading through the posts here, I guess my ethnicity is going to be a big negative. Is it that the PhD from Singapore and my area of work increase my chances of getting PR?
Right, thank you!singaporeflyer wrote: ↑Thu, 11 Nov 2021 10:54 amPHD from local uni is the key factor in your case.ray5g wrote: ↑Thu, 11 Nov 2021 9:37 amHi SGFlyer,singaporeflyer wrote: ↑Wed, 10 Nov 2021 6:04 pm
