Switching jobs during PR application - to notify ICA or not?

Post by questionableactvt » Thu, 28 Oct 2021 8:28 pm

Hello all,

I need some advice hope some knowledgeable members would be able to help.

I applied for PR in May 2021 and still waiting for the result. Recently I got a job offer that will significantly increase my income, albeit with a less reputable company.

I am waiting for my new company to apply EP for me but I was wondering if I should still update ICA about this.
1/ If I update ICA, would that help my application or not, and should I update them given that it's just an offer letter for now and my new company still hasn't applied EP for me.
2/ If I don't update ICA, would they see that I'm applying for PR under one co and another co is applying EP for me. And how would that affect my application?

Any help greatly appreciated!

Only update after you have taken up the position and received your pay.

After you get the first payslip with the new job and get the company to fill in Annex A, then update ICA.
