Cable TV and Internet

Post by Kurt » Thu, 07 Jul 2005 9:06 am

Hi,

I've looked through some of the posts here and also at the Starhub and Singtel websites.
Just wanted to confirm that only Starhub in SG offers Cable TV.
Also, in summaryy, what is better for me? Starhub or Singtel for internet (broadband). I will be living in a large condo development, so I heard that starhub would be shared among all residents and maybe slow at times?

Thanks everyone.

cheers
Kurt

Starhub is the only provider of cable services.

As for whether Starhub cable or Singnet ADSL is better.. try reading this discussion..

http://forums.hardwarezone.com/showthre ... ht=starhub

In summary.. Starhub = high download bandwidth. Singnet ADSL = balanced up and download speeds. Which means.. if surfing and downloading stuff = Starhub. If online gaming = Singnet.

As for localised issues regarding Starhub shared infrastructure.. really really depends on neighbourhood. Hard to say.

BTW, I am using Starhub. No complaints.
