Why did you want to exchange your EP for an LoC? Doesn't make any sense unless you are planning on quitting your job or your job was in jeopardy.
I'm planning to quit my job once my 2 year contract is up and take a break before getting another job.
Anyway, does anybody know how much time does ICA take to approve LTVP from submission of medical exam on IPA.
"If you submitted a Pre-Marriage Long-Term Visit Pass Application (PMLA) before applying for your LTVP, it may take up to six weeks to process your LTVP application. If you did not submit a PMLA, the LTVP processing time may take up to six month"
Saw the above statement in ICA website, quite concerned if the official approval could take another 6 months upon receipt of IPA.
I believe for LTVP once they approve in principle (pending documents) it means it has been approved and you just need to upload your medical screening and the LTVP terms and condition(signed copy). Once you have submitted those, it will move to approved in principle( documents receiving attention, by the next working day or 2 it should move to approved in principle (pending completion of formalities) provided your medical results for HIV and chest X ray for Tuberculosis comes back both negative.
Once it is pending completion of formalities, u need to book appointments with ICA and go get your LTVP card, make sure to bring all the documents stated on the approval letter which you can download.
But do note: for your case since you are on EP you don’t need to do the medical exam if you have already done one within the last 2 years while in SG. If this is the case, when you look at the medical form that ICA ask you to download, there will be a declaration that you need to fill up if you have done medical screening with 2 years for either ICA or MOM and then just submit the document like that without doing the medical screening.
Good luck and let us know how it went.
