What was your salary and pass type when you had applied the first and 2nd time?

Also how is it that length of stay is 8 years, but working in singapore is 12 years?
The salary I applied for the first time was $2500/month and the second time it was $2600/month, both in EP pass.
I started working in SG in 2008 and stayed in SG until April 2011. From that year on, I went back and forth between SG and MY every day until August 2014.
Looks you may be on the borderline. No harm trying again
Hi singaporeflyer, thanks for your quick response.
I am planning to apply for the third time. Can you suggest that I apply by myself or the whole family, or just apply with my husband?

Hi all
I noticed today that the Apply for Permanent Button has disappeared on my ICA page . Does it mean my application is finally under review ? I do see the document upload button is Still there under pending status. I applied in May20 and it is almost 10 months now . :-k

10 months is not long time bro, there are people who applied on 2019 are still waiting for their application status.

Hi all,

I applied in Aug 2019 and subsequently updated ICA when I received increments (once) and moved houses (twice). I am yet to hear back. Anyone else been waiting 18+ months?

Thank you.
Hi, Yes we also applied on Aug 2019... still waiting for the result... yours spouse scheme or from EP?

Hi everyone, would appreciate if you could share some thoughts around our chances of PR approval.

I realise we haven't been here as long as most of you, but love it here and would like to start settling down without the anxiety / unpredictability around EP renewals. I've also noticed there's very few caucasians in this thread, so not sure if that's a major downside for our application, or, neutral due to less competition.

About me:
Age: 32
Race: Caucasian
Nationality: American
Marital status: Married
Stay in SG: 1.5yrs
Industry: Architecture / Engineering
Salary: $200k ($150k base, $50k bonus)

About wife:
Age: 31
Race: Caucasian
Nationality: American
Marital Status: Married
Stay in SG: 1.5yrs
Industry: Big tech MNC
Salary: $400k ($200k base, $200k bonus + equity)

Low chance because of

Ethnic Quota
Short duration of stay in SG

I don’t think the disappearing of apply for permanent button means anything

From my experience and many in this forum, the disappearance of submit document means outcome will be out soon be it negative or positive. Mine out 1 week+ after it disappears.

Hi, is the chance of getting a PR is very low for a single female at age 51~52 holding a EP? I am from Hong Kong. Thanks.

Hi everyone!

Just discovered this forum yesterday and decided to post to get some advice + insight on the processing time for PR applications currently, as well as my husband's probability of a successful PR application approval as we are keen to stop renting, and want to try to get our own flat soon and perhaps start a family.

We applied for PR for him end July 2020 (we were married 2 years and 7 months at the time of application), and are still currently waiting for a result.

About me (Sponsor):
Age: 29
Race + Nationality: Singaporean Chinese
Marital status: Married for 3 years 3 months now
Industry: Advertising/Marketing
Salary: about $43k per annum

About my husband (Applicant):
Age: 32
Race + Nationality: South Korean
Marital Status: Married for 3 years 3 months now
Stay in SG: been here for about 5 years, worked here for about 3 years 6 months in total so far
Industry: Customer service in a big tech MNC
Salary: about $47k per annum
Work Pass Status: currently holding a WP

Looking forward to any help and advice we can get!

Mostly should be ok, if rejected try improving sponsor salary and reapply.

It would seem so.

What the gahmen really wants are young Chinese families, given that the TFR has sank to 0.94 in 2020 for Chinese. 0.97 for Indians. [1.83 for Malays]

https://www.singstat.gov.sg/find-data/ ... -dashboard

Edit: To maintain ethnicity ratio of 75:15:9, they’d be ramping hard on Chinese approvals, within reason, ie stable 20-25k new citizens a year, stable 500-600k overall PR population . That’s my take.

Hi All,

Any updates on this?

Hi All,

Appreciate if you can share some thought about my current situation.
Please see below for my details.

Nationality: Malaysian Chinese
Age: 33
Race: Chinese
Gender: Female
Marital status: Single
Applying for: Myself
Education: Bachelor (Hons) Degree in Mechatronics Engineering
Length of stay in SG: 4.5 years
Pass type: EP
Occupation: Business Analyst
Salary: S$83k + equity
Work experience: 11 years
SG Tax Assesment: 4 years including this year.

I applied for PR on early Feb this year.
While waiting for the result, my company just reached out to me and say they could not renew my EP which is expiring on May, as it is rejected by MOM. So they will need to offer me a WP as they no longer have quota for SP.
Just checking if the downgrade will impact my PR approval as I know WP is not eligible for PR application.
If my PR wasn't approved before my EP is expired, is it a 100% rejection? or even if it is approved, I will not be able to do the formalities as my qualification had changed?

Thanks in advance for the time spent to look into this.
