Hello! I would like to know my chances for my PR application. Thank you!
My profile:
Gender : Male
Age : 33
Marital Status: Single
Ethnicity: Chinese
Nationality - Hong Kong, China
Country of Origin: Hong Kong
Length of Stay: 2014 to Present (6 years of full year tax assessment)
Education: Bachelor Degree
Job: Supply Chain Manager
Current Annual Salary - 60K + performance bonus (pay cut due to Covid)
Previously i was drawing 85 to 95K / annual
I applied for my PR last year 7 Nov 2019, and it has been almost 1 year since i submitted my application.
I didnt hear anything from the ICA Portal while i keep checking it everyday and the status is still pending, i tried to email ICA by asking if there is further doc. needed but they replied no additional doc is needed for the time being
A lot of people tell me that no news is good news and I also understand that due to the current situation, the process would be slow while the bar to be a PR may raise.
but still it would be great if i can hear some opinion from the professional ....
Thank you so much
You may have a chance of around 40%
I just receive an email from ICA asking me to provide some additional Document.
Hope all is good
Do you see upload documents option visible ? Or disappeared?

Great! May I know if they asked for family CV details?

They will ask for whatever they deem necessary. They will expect no more nor no less. Full Stop.

Fully Agree! Similarly, They will give approval to those whom they deem necessary. They will accept no more nor no less. Asking for a chance/probability here does not increase or decrease the chances for getting a PR!

Simple_guy, your 2nd sentence above....is it correct in it's current form? Or, did you mean 'accept' instead of expect? Otherwise, it doesn't seem to say anything.

My profile: (Applicant)
Gender : Male
Age : 32
Marital Status: Married
Ethnicity: Caucasian (British)
Nationality - UK
Length of Stay: CURRENTLY IN UK
Education: Diploma
Job: Operations Manager
Current Annual Salary - (I am employed in the U.K. - $100K per annum).
We were in SG for most of 2020 due to Covid - and we left the U.K. to give birth to our son. He is born in SG and is therefore a SC along with my wife.
Sponsor is my wife. She has just been made redundant whilst on maternity leave as U.K. is suffering with poor management of Covid. Now that we have become a family, we want to be in SG and it is important for the boy to be raised in the country especially as he will need to serve NS. Main reason she wants to return home (and I to join them) is that it will be better for our child.
So I am applying for PR whilst we are overseas. She doesn’t want to go back into work for the first few years so she can care for the boy, ideally.
What do you think? The circumstances are a bit more unusual compared to others that I’ve read on here.

I beg your pardon. We married in Singapore 2016. We’ve just had our 5 year anniversary.
We are in process of purchasing a
property right now, so that aspect will be taken care of. Not sure if that’s of any interest to the ICA or not. But we don’t need any government assistance.

I asked my brother in law about this, actually. He said that it was extremely unlikely they’d ask me to serve.
If they do, I don’t object to it.

That’s what I thought too. The usual caveat is that first generation PRs do not need to serve National Service.
But there has been of late, the odd angmo or two called up for reservist. PRs gained from marrying SC.
Of course, the age plays a big part.

If it happens, it happens. It’d be somewhat easier to explain to my son as he grows up, I suspect, if it happened that way.
