Greetings,
I would like to ask for an advice or any loophole possible for us to get a Successful permission from MOM.
We tried to get a permission to them for the first time and the result was unsuccessful, now we make an appeal and ask them to cite the possible reason, and they replied that they can reconsider if there are substantial changes on my income.
My fiancée who is an EX-WP holder is going back here in Singapore in January 2021 for our wedding and yet we still not getting their approval.
Hope anyone here can help. Thanks in advance!

Please try to see if you can improve on your income and then reapply. Better to follow MOM advise and fix the issue and then get the permission before getting married.

Thank you for your reply, do you have any idea if what will be the minimum Income for me to get an approval?

The type work your fiancée was doing in Singapore may also play a part. If worse comes to worse, the only “loophole” may be for you two to settle down in another country (other than Singapore).

Hey... what happened to love conquers all?
I had to move to Singapore (from the other side of the world) to be with the love of my life. It wasn’t easy & involved lots of sacrifices... but after being here 24 years, we are still together.
It’s proven that couples that go through struggles are stronger as a result.
Don’t give up trying, but have a plan B.

It just sadden her that her colleagues are now married with Singaporean with an easy approval from MOM, and us still needs to figure out on how we can get their approval, where in we're all good for the wedding and it's just their approval we're waiting, i just find it so unfair on our part i mean We Singaporean that we need to ask permission to them first when it comes to our personal life decisions..

I gave up a good paying job in the US and moved here with 2 suitcases and only $5,000 in savings (proceeds from selling my car). It took four months to get a job and another five months to get an approved EP after two rejections. At the same time, my father-in-law said resolutely that I would never marry his daughter. It took a full seven years before he finally gave in and allowed us to marry.
I have no regrets... I’d do it all again.

If need to be treated as income, it has to be made aware to IRAS and should be in your Notice of Assessment. Only then it will be considered as valid income. Assuming that you earn more than 20K per year, what I have said is valid.
