Hi Everyone, I would like to ask for the advise on getting Statutory Declaration in Singapore law firm.
I am a Singapore Citizen. My parents are Indonesian Chinese. On 17th Nov 2020, I submitted Long-Term Visit Pass (LTVP) Application for both my Father and Mother. On Saturday, 21 Nov 2020, i received an email from the ICA to submit the clarification request. In email indicate:
1) submission of Statutory declaration by Applicants/Sponsor ("The Statutory Declaration should explain the name difference in Applicant's passport and Sponsor's Birth Certificate*Required)
2) Letter fro Embassy to explain the name difference in Applicant's passport and Sponsor's Birth Certificate*Required
My Parents' Passport biodata is not match with their name indicated on my birth certificate. (My parents passport do have Surname) however, content of my Birth certificate does not have surname indicated for both my parents name. As under Indonesia law, chinese ethnic do not allowed Surname to be indicated in any of document in the past generations and must adopt indonesia single name. This is the reason on discrepancy of the name not matching in both documents. However, I do not have supporting documents available to support this reason.
I would like to ask you guys for advise on how should i go to get the Statutory declaration? . i am wondering Indonesia embassy will issue the letter for this cases. ( base on the website: embassy will not issue any letter). ( my only option is to get the original statutory declaration issued by the Law firm and go to embassy to legalise that documents)- I am not sure whether will it work or not but i tend to give it a try.
** Fyi: my parents are in Singapore serving their 14 days SHN at dedicate facility.
I seek everyone advise and procedures.
Thank you
cheers
