Hi All,

I applied for PR since July 2019, but still pending. I have received a letter from ICA on May 2020 informed me due to Covid19 the average processing time for each PR application will be longer. I would like to find out any chance of approval, based on your past experience.

Age : 32
Race : Chinese
Nationality: Malaysian
Gender : Female
Marital Status : Married (My husband is PR)
Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel & Tourism Management (Malaysia)
Job : Admin Executive in Hotel & Tourism Industry
Working Experience in Singapore : 10 years
Salary : 37K+ P/A
Pass: Employment Pass

And my Employment Pass is expiring on next year March. Due to the tightening of the work pass requirements, my HR was strongly encourage me to apply for LTVP since my husband is PR. Should I proceed to renew my Employment Pass while I’m waiting for my PR approval or apply for LTVP?

All advise are welcome and appreciated very much

How long are you married? Is this PR application sponsored by your husband? For March, there is lot of time left. I feel you may have the outcome before that. if not apply for LTVP around Feb?

Hi Singapore Flyer,

Thanks for your prompt reply. Married for 4 years. The application was not sponsored by my husband. Is it a issue?
My hr was intend to help me renew my employment pass now and found out that my husband is PR in my renewal form. That’s the reason my hr was asking me to apply for LTVP instead.

Do the LTVP may be in Jan/Feb if you don't get any update from ICA on the PR application. If in case it is rejected, next time apply under your husband sponsorship. It is more easier to get it approved via the sponsorship route.

How long is he a PR and does he earn more than you? his occupation?

No. We apply separately caused we were worried that our application got rejected. So if his application got rejected, at least I can still can try to apply.

Hello! I would like to know my chances for my PR application. Thank you!

My profile:
Gender : Male
Age : 33
Marital Status: Single
Ethnicity: Chinese
Nationality - Hong Kong, China
Country of Origin: Hong Kong
Length of Stay: 2014 to Present (6 years of full year tax assessment)
Education: Bachelor Degree
Job: Supply Chain Manager
Current Annual Salary - 60K + performance bonus (pay cut due to Covid)
Previously i was drawing 85 to 95K / annual

I applied for my PR last year 7 Nov 2019, and it has been almost 1 year since i submitted my application.
I didnt hear anything from the ICA Portal while i keep checking it everyday and the status is still pending, i tried to email ICA by asking if there is further doc. needed but they replied no additional doc is needed for the time being

A lot of people tell me that no news is good news and I also understand that due to the current situation, the process would be slow while the bar to be a PR may raise.

but still it would be great if i can hear some opinion from the professional ....

Thank you so much

When was the last rejection? What has changed in your application since the last rejection?
