14 days Quarantine for travellers

Post by abbby » Sun, 16 Aug 2020 9:24 am

Was having a conversation with a friend whose friend just travelled to Singapore and had to quarantine at Jurong resorts world hotel, from what I heard the accommodation & food was $2,000 and test fee was $200.

Might be useful info for those who need some ballpark who are planning to come to Singapore.

This was announced back in June.

"A Covid-19 test can cost up to $200, while a 14-day stay at a dedicated SHN facility will cost $2,000."

Not bad for a 14 day staycation.

Was food included? Any good?

FYI, Kempinski used to offer a free minibar every day. Suspect they likely have a zero alcohol version now...

I am currently into my 14 days quarantene at mandarine orchard. To be honest is not as easy as you think mainly because you not allowed to leave your room. As well they keep you busy reporting temperature and well being three times a day. That being said I think Its a great system preventing covid19 passing through

So out of curiosity, what happens if you are a couple one Singapore citizen/PR and one foreigner, what would the cost be in this case (assuming you left before 27 March)?

Would you pay nothing? Or would you pay a split cost? I thought I saw something on here about that, but can't seem to find it.

The couple's quarantine period will be in the same room? That doesn't sound so bad :)
