Strange encounters

Post by abbby » Fri, 22 May 2020 9:02 pm

Has anyone encountered strange phenomenon where you live or lived in Singapore?

I've heard of friends who had 'someone' knocking on their bedroom door on certain nights. I've also heard of people seeing images of 'white images of people' walk around carpark roof tops in the middle of the night.

Do you believe in ghosts?

I don't believe in ghosts but I have seen one in an old PUB apartment I rented in the 90s. He was an old Sikh standing in my kitchen quietly at 2am. Turned out he was the former tenants as I found his IC card in my mailbox the next week. I asked my neighbour and they told me "oh yeah he died in your place a while ago before you moved in".

I guess he was waiting for his IC. As I said though I don't believe in ghosts and the paradox of life is often only those that don't believe in ghosts or UFOs or visions see them.

The closest I've come is the golf ball bouncing on the floor of the apartment above.

I've had way too many of these strange encounters to feel surprised anymore. I tried my best to remain sceptical for many years, but one spirit in particular was VERY determined to make sure I knew he/she/it wasn't just in my imagination. Maybe what you see depends on your sensitivity and acceptance that there might be things that have yet to be tackled/proven by science.

I mean, if someone absolutely refuses to believe at all costs that ghosts might exist, even if they see a translucent lady in a bloody gown floating by their bedroom, they're still going to find a way to rationalise it away and believe that explanation, regardless of how ludicrous it might be.

But speaking of ghosts in SG, one of my friends told me that Blk 852 Woodlands Street 83 was haunted. Can't wait for the lockdown to be over so that we can go exploring :)

But if you think the Sikh was a ghost, that means you believe in ghosts, don't you?

Uh...so if you really don't believe in ghosts, what do you think the Sikh was?

Probably what people call a "ghost" but I don't believe in them. Presumably some form of paranormal but not a ghost.
