Hi all,

I want to ask if the online system allows us to upload any recommendation letters now?
No. can not upload as they don't ask for it in the application.
And if you try emailing it to ICA later, they may come back with a curt response asking you to stick to only the docs they have asked for.
Same with volunteering proof letters - they are not accepted.

Hello! I have applied PR 10 months ago and it's still pending. Appreciate if someone can comment on the chance based on our profile.

Me (main applicant)
Age: 29
Industry: Tech (famous MNC)
Nationality: Chinese Hong Kong
Salary: 80k p.a.
Marital Status: married, no kids yet
Length of stay in SG: 2 years
Pass type: EP, just renewed
Tax cycle: two

Spouse:
Age:29
Industry: tech (start up)
Nationality: Chinese Hong Kong
Salary: basic 90k p.a. with bonus 160k
Length of stay in SG: 1 year and 10 months
Pass type: EP (changed job 6 months ago for 20% salary increase)
Tax cycle: 1st one this year

I know pending for 10 months doesn't mean anything, want to know if the chance is low, probably it's because of the length of stay in SG?

Thank you for those giving feedback and sharing experiences with us, really appreciate.

Thanks for replying! I got a letter from ICA today but it's not about approval or rejection. They just said the processing time is longer due to COVID19 and appreciate my patience. That's it lol.

Join the Queue. Everybody is getting the letter, regardless of how long they have been waiting. I reckon it won't start to move forward again, until the total damages here are known, eg, loss of businesses, unemployment numbers, etc. I think the severity of damage will directly impact the issuance of new PRs this year and possibly even part of next year as well, depending on rehabilitation of the economy.

Hi, Could you pls advise your opinion? Appreciate your insights.

Studied in SG before and graduated in 2015 from private uni. Came back Singapore work July 2019.

Previously applied PR under parent's sponsorship but rejected 3 times. Wondering my chance now to apply on my own.

Age : 25
Race : Indonesian Chinese
Gender : Male
Marital Status : Single
Religion : Buddhist
Education : Bachelor Degree
Current Field of Work : IT field
Current Job : Sales Rep
Length of stay in Singapore : working: 11 months, studied: 3 yeaes
Salary: 72k pa
Pass : EP

Thank you.
2015 to Jul 2019 where were you? If you were not in Singapore, your chance is going to be very low. If you live/work out of SG and then come back, all your past stay/study duration in SG, will become nullified, if i am not wrong.

2015-2019 i was working in Malaysia then came back to Singapore to work (EPass) since last year July 2019, been working for almost 11 months now. The reason I'm applying for PR is because my mother (holding a PR) is here. Guess this coronavirus matter makes me want to stay in SG forever cos travelling in-and-out will be difficult for God's know how long.

Chance is low, you went out of SG for work and back again. This will be seen as negative in my personal view

Syrus - before Covid came along ICA was approving ~500 "caucasians" for PR. Now after Covid I reckon it will be 0.
