Local deliveries almost a month and not arrived

Post by abbby » Sun, 17 May 2020 11:11 am

I am really puzzled, has anyone experienced the same?

I ordered some books online from a local online shop, it's been a month and they've not arrived. The excuse, is simply, it's now the circuit breaker period so it's taking a bit longer. When I order books from the UK, it took only 3 weeks.

Was planning to read them during the circuit breaker... :???:

I haven't had any problems with deliveries from here or abroad. Sounds like a convenient excuse. I'd suggest you avoid this vendor in future, local deliveries shouldn't be impacted by more than a few days.

Yes, going to avoid buying from them again. No updates on delivery status whatsoever.

I have such problems with one of the major chains selling appliances. Processing the order over two weeks already. Not responding to contact form, not responding to the queries sent to them on FB on when it is going to be delivered. Afters 1st week I simply ordered from Amazon.sg and they delivered within 4 days (including weekend).

I think this time is a good time to see what different companies are really worth. Many of them seems to be so greedy they will not stop to use this difficult situation to basically abuse you. Will never ever buy from them again.

I have to agree with you,...my books, never arrived and they're a Singapore based company..my biggest regret was I should have ordered fro amazon.sg as they had the same stock, amazon.sg has been great with all my orders, locals and overseas, they always arrive within 4-5 days. Now, we know why Amazon's the best. Lesson learnt, stick to Amazon
