Hi All,

Just to share I applied for PMLA on the 24th of last month and just got the approval letter today.

Really happy because I’m in the midst of changing job so No cpf contribution the last 7 months. I’m singapore PR and my wife to be is Vietnamese.

So I guess it’s really heng suay

Doesn't sound like you are in the midst of changing jobs to me. Sounds like you are unemployed.

You better make sure you secure a job before attempting to apply LTVP with the PMLTVP eligibility as you risk the chance of getting your application rejected without a job.

If the highlighted is true, I'd be interested on how you even applied for the PMLA. It is meant for citizens only.

Ah, big difference. Permission to marry one thing, PMLA another. Totally two different things.

Since PR can’t do the PMLA process, what happens next after getting approval from MOM?

Get married. Apply for LTVP. PMLA not available for Non-SGC. Should be easy enough to get, or if she is still working on WP, just let her stay on WP. However, if she likes her employer, she should offer to go on ltvp and get Letter of Consent. If she is on LoC she can still work for employer without WP and employer will not have to pay workers levy. Benefit for employer (maybe even get increment??). before I retired I changed several of my employees from S passes to LoC as they were married to PR's or Citizens.
