Applying PR as I start the new job

Post by dkim18 » Mon, 01 Jul 2019 12:30 pm

Hi all, I just recently got married to Singapore Citizen, accepted an offer to change my job and got my EP. I want to apply PR as I start on my new job.
The following is my profile & situation:

Age: 26
Nationality: Korean
Pass Hold: EP
I worked in an IT company for 7 months and will be starting on a new job very soon.

As the PR application requires an employment letter and six months payslip, how should I apply for PR in this case when I am starting on the new job?

Thank you so much, really appreciate your reply

6 months salary slips from your previous employer and maybe a copy of your new contract and your salary slips from the new employers (at least the first one coinciding with the contract start date). e.g., you cannot apply without a job. so you are going to have to wait until you have received your first pay voucher from your new employer before you can apply anyway.

However, applying for PR here before you have worked here for two years or at least 3 tax assessments is a waste of time and money. The fact that you can file after 6 months is a misnomer. While you can file after 6 months, it is not likely to be approved until you have actually been employed here for 2 years at the time of application. (Unless, that is, you are a top-notch neurosurgeon or rocket scientist.)

Wait for 2-3 years. After that ask your spouse to sponsor your PR application. It will be easy.

if you apply with just 7 months of experience in SG, your chance is going to be very very less.
