My last date would be june 6 and my employment pass is in process so was worried if by the time I get relieving from here, I should have received my EP ? I have infact submitted all genuine documents and company is 5 yrs old setup there. They have filed it online for me.

Hey Saurabh, I am in exact position as yours and my last day was 6 June, and my pass was applied on 28th may and the status is still pending, any luck on yours ?

Hi everyone, and to the host in this post,
I have similar case as you, my ex employer terminated my employment and my ep will be terminated on 28 june. I received an offer from a local MNC and they said will proceed my application to mom since last two weeks till now the epol doesn’t show any status update but only my ex employer information (which will likely disappear soon as my ex employer will terminate it on 28th)

Two weeks no update is that because my new employer using manual submission ? But i thought manual submission is no longer accept at mom, i’m quite tense as i’m officially jobless and put all the hope at new employer

Nobody ever told you not to put all eggs in one basket?

There is a good possibility that the position is one that requires the employer to post the vacancy for a minimum of two weeks on the Jobs Portal at MOM. They have to wait until that expires before they can make application to MOM as one of the questions on the application is did they advertise on the jobs portal first.

I know the fair consideration framework rules required employer to advertise post on Jobs bank for 14 days, but i couldn’t found any related job post on website, is that possible they advertised the post few months ago then only hiring employee?

With Singapore Employers it's hard to tell exactly what they do. Most small companies and a lot of larger SME are notorious for bending the rules and also using potential employees to make up tenders as some project tenders also require the CV of the project teams as well. (Never quite figured that one out) So what ends up happening is they often advertise the position in order to get fresh CV to send with the tender. Sometimes they are ruthless and promise the world to the applicant and then they don't get the tender so they just forget about it and leave people hanging. I'm not saying that this is the case here, but it's been known to happen all to often.
Have you tried asking HR to see a copy of your application that they filed, just to confirm there were not any errors on the application. (Don't want to let on you don't trust them!)

thanks for your prompt reply,
I called them on this Wednesday, what they revert is “my application is still processing and usually take 2-3 weeks”.
They are local MNC already give me the offer through email and ask me whether to accept or not, of course i accepted since 14/6 till now the every time I ask for update their reply is still processing.

I think I'd start looking for a Plan B, truth be known.
