Exit Permit Offense Letter. Help!

Post by tjhar » Fri, 07 Sep 2018 8:51 pm

I've not lived in Singapore since 2006.

Last week my parents living in SG received a MINDEF letter about some Exit Permit Offense. Apparently I forgot to renew it. It expired in June, letter was dated Sep. I tried going online to apply for EP, didn't allow me too.

What are my options now? Consequences?

Letter says to return home?! I have a job and family here in Canada. Flights from Canada to Singapore are not cheap too. Is there anyway I can reach out to MINDEF and resolve this remotely?

You're in serious breach of the regulations. How old were you when you left Singapore? Are you still Singaporean?
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!
