EPR status and application

Post by smokycoffee » Thu, 15 Nov 2018 5:34 pm

Dear all,
Just want to know the status of those who applied Using EPR?
I’m local and Husband is a British citizen, I’m not working and seems crazy difficult to get a job in sg as a foreigner. We are looking to relocate back to sg soon but not considered for any jobs due to no visa/right to work here.
So far I’ve been asked by Ica to provide a document which I already submitted and it’s been 5 months. Any further information/shared experience will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

You are applying for your husband under your sponsorship for PR? And you are not working in SG? if yes, it is not going to be easy for him to get PR.

Why dont he come to SG and work under LTVP+ ?

Unfortunately I’m not working so he does not qualify for the lptv as sponsor needs 6 months payslips. our job in Dubai is ending in Dec and wish to return to sg, so unless he gets the Pr, we won’t be able to return to sg. He have been applying for jobs in sg but no luck as a foreigner.

Wow that was quick, if you don’t mind may I know some background?? Is the sponsor the local or the spouse? Can I know your nationality? Thanks in advance

I’m sorry another question, did it reflect online immediately on the status?

My ex-wife (Singaporean) applied for PR for me when I wasn't working in Singapore (I worked on oil tankers then). She wasn't working but we did have two Singapore citizen kids. I got the PR.

My advice is to make Singaporean babies together with your husband

My wife and daughter's 2nd application is pending since February.
I am expecting the rejection anytime soon.

When it comes I will take the hint that we are not welcome as a family, and will Foxtrot Oscar accordingly.

May I know through which scheme did you apply. And was it through epr?

Doesn't really matter. Seen them both last long, long, and short-short. Every application is vetted on it own merit. If it smells of 3 day old fish, it might take longer or shorter. There are not any guidelines other than 'how long is a piece of string'.

Jesus I can’t even troll people properly.

Let’s say I applied through the same scheme as you (assuming PTS scheme). Let’s say I applied through ePR (I didn’t. ePR didn’t exist back then in 2005).

Now let’s say mine did get approved in 3 months, and yours ends up getting approved after say, 9 months. Would my answer have helped you at all?

You are new here but before posting I would have expected you to read from past threads what the general guideline is for the processing time of PR applications. And time and time again we have also mentioned that there’s no way for us to tell how long it’ll take. So sit back, relax, open a cold one with your mates and enjoy your life.

Mystic-river, you've been off the grid for too long. It'll come back. Just need a little practice! lol
