If you switch jobs frequently, it MAY raise alarms when they process your EPahamedmoosa.s wrote:Hi
I am foreigner working in Singapore for over 7 years now since October 2011 and I am also a master degree holder from NUS. All the while I was with one company(my 1st employer). Quiet recently on April 2018, I have left my long association with them and joined another company(my 2nd employer) with a new Employment pass.
I left that company(my 2nd employer) because of cultural shock and joined another company(my 3rd employer) on September 2018. Unfortunately I have to leave this company too because my job role is not matching my career objective.
I have got another opportunity and that company (my 4th employer) have applied for my Employment pass yesterday and status is pending.
My 4th employer is a MNC and I assume they might have S pass quota too.
I am bit worried about the approval of this EP as I have hopped into 3 different companies within 6 months.
I am looking for your advice , on whether my recent job hopping history will affect the EP approval ?
Will appreciate your valuable advices

Outright rejection may happen in 1-21 days. Will this help you? but, this is reality.ahamedmoosa.s wrote:Update : my new employer have already applied for my EP
They said they have provided the required numbers of candidates interviewed while applying and they said they have also posted it in jobsbank and their personal web portal for the required number of days. These all looks positive
8 days since the day of application. AND I AM WAITING.
In case of outright rejection , how soon will that happen ? Just curious

The date of EP application was 25 Oct 2018? If not, when did your new employer apply for EP?ahamedmoosa.s wrote:Thanks for the reply. It helps

Until 2016, EP applications were approved on an average in just few days or a week. If I'm not wrong, since late 2016 or early 2017, applications are reviewed more rigorously and goes through multiple checks.ahamedmoosa.s wrote:They have applied for my EP on 17/10/2018. My EP was renewed few months ago and even that took about three weeks for approval.
I have found a new job now, and the new employer submitted EP application on 25 Oct 2018. I check the application status every day but I won't be surprised if it takes longer than two weeks. Good luck with your application! As long as you don't have any misconduct, and your new employer follows a fair employment practice, it will get through.
