Television from UK to Singapore

Post by SimonAttwood » Tue, 03 Jul 2018 5:10 pm

Dear all - new to this, so please forgive if this is a ubiquitous no-brainer of a question. Moving to Singapore from UK in August, and looking at bringing 2 digital televisions....presumably they will work okay in Singapore? Thanks, Simon

Freeview's obviously not going to work but otherwise it should be fine.

Depends. HDMI connections will work fine, so if you are planning to hook to a cable box or Blueray/DVD player, no problem.

You will need to verify HDTV encryption compatibility. Singapore is DVB-T2... I don't know what UK is.

There are no standard definition broadcasts any more in Singapore so compatibility doesn't matter.
