EP Processing Time 2018

Post by rod000 » Mon, 12 Mar 2018 9:09 am

Hi folks
Just wondering what's the current processing time for EP and DP applications for people who've recently obtained them or are awaiting the outcome. Of course we know that MOM says 3 weeks but just wanted to get a feel for people's actual experiences.
My company applied 10 days ago so I'm still awaiting news.

Did a renewal, followed almost instantly with a new EP application within a couple of weeks after that.

It took EXACTLY 21 days. For both. No joke. 21 days identical.

There was someone on here just recently who got theirs in less than 12 days, I believe.

Mine for a brand new company was approved in just one week - I consider myself very lucky though.

Can you check the status on the MOM website? If it still says pending, there isn't much you can do except for wait. Who applied? Yourself or the company? It this a new application or renewal?

There is nothing you can do.

There are many reasons why your application is being held up.

a) They are waiting for verification of your credentials.
b) You are going to be body-shopped out to third party companies.
c) The company you want to work for has pissed off MoM or they have failed to advertise locally.
d) Your salary isn't high enough for years of experience.

It is what it is. Contrary to what a lot of people on here like to think about processing times and thinking that they can figure out a likelihood of when or how long or does length of time equal approval or rejection is all for naught. There are absolutely no correlations between any of them and every application is based on itself and not on some whim. MOM and ICA hold their cards extremely close to their chests so it's virtually impossible to second guess them. Anyway, congratulations. Now the hard part, getting over here and set up without getting ripped off by the real estate agents and Landlords. One crisis at a time. ;-)

I'm currently waiting for Training Employment Pass (TEP) for my internship.
I just have my application filed this Thursday by my employer.
I've read posts about EP processing time, but I can't seem to get any info about TEP processing time these days.

Anyone got any information on it?

Congrats to all approved EP!

To get better estimation for the waiting time, can you guys include some of these info (feel free to add or remove as you deemed necessary) :
- job title
- company size
- apply directly or through agency

Thank you
