From 3 days to 3 months. Or never?

Depends on your nationality, education and professional background. Vetting may take a longer time. And maybe the number of local staff in your employer company.

I'm in the same boat. My application was submitted on Dec 20th and I'm still pending too.

My question is how long can the employer wait? Its for a very large MNC payments company and they spent 3-4 months looking for the role from what I was told.

Just don't want them to re-tract an offer because MOM is digging their heels.

I thought this was a fairly fast process - from what I'm seeing from comments and shared stories, there really is no fixed time and its luck of the draw because applicants are basically profiled.
Sounds about right?

I got my EP after 5 weeks. But this was also over the Xmas Holidays and NY so I suspect longer than normal.

I could be anytime from tomorrow to never. Depends on a lot of factors.

a) Are you being paid enough for the number of years experience you have?
b) Are your schools prompt in submitting documents?
c) Are you working for a company that is going to bodyshop you out to a third company?
d) Are you Indian?
e) Has the company you are going to work for pissed off MoM?

Could be any of the above or something else.

Hi sir, thanks for your response.yes, I am an Indian and they offered me well package in correspondence to my experience.
One word I heard from the consultancy is, they got a query on my EP asking for HR letter on feb27th and the same was submitted on Feb 28th.
Even from Feb 28th also it's 3 weeks completed, have you ever seen any cases like this? and how long they can take in these situations(query).

People in these forums have reported that they have waited three months with no response for an application for EP. I have no evidence whatsoever to back me up, and it seems to me that once an EP application has been waiting this long, it's an indication that they don't really want to issue and EP to you and that if MoM waits long enough, the whole thing will just go away.

Yeah seems it will take more time, from Feb 2nd it's almost 2months. Will wait for 1 more month and see how it goes.
Thanks for your time.
