Art in Singapore

Post by earthfriendly » Fri, 27 Apr 2018 12:00 am

They developed the economy but not the culture (see the toilet seat topic ). Whereas other countries e.g. USA develope both in tandem. Reminds me of the Chinese Singaporean child-rearing philosophy. Ah boy and Ah girl only need to focus on one thing during childhood, the academics. What about the overall wholistic development of the child? Surely, we can be more multi-dimensional in our approach in life.
We see now that it is harder to build up culture than infrastructure.

Don't forget about Mr. Jack Sim, aka Mr. Toilet of the World Toilet Organization (you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him aim or flush!)

I find the Paragon to be my go-to place when nature calls in Orchard Road.
I find that MBS has too few stalls for the amount of people. Maybe the six stars is for certain areas within the MBS.
