IMMIGRATION QUESTIONS (UK TOURIST)

Post by martincymru » Fri, 29 Dec 2017 3:12 pm

FACTS:
27DEC2017 - UK tourist enters SG from MANILA, I quote.
You have stated MANILA as your outbound destination after Sg. Why?
- my partner lives there
so why don't you stay/live there with your "wife" ?
- maybe one day
so you are retired?
- yes. maybe look for new job but I'm getting old.
I see you have worked in Sg before
- yes.
//
Q
any comment on what I perceive as illogical questioning?
should I simply state "UK" next time instead of MANILA.

Btw she stamped 3 months without me asking. Is 3 months now the norm for Uk citizens ?

It certainly used to be, don't know about now, but your stamp indicates it probably is. Australians also used (still?) get 90 days as a matter of course.
