[looking for advice] Child maintenance division

Post by Matt-mu » Tue, 12 Dec 2017 8:48 am

Hi everyone

I am going through separation with wife and we're working on the deed of separation. We're both non Singaporean, EP holder.

When it comes to child maintenance, what are the cost items that are usually included? My wife included part of her rent and PUB, is this the norm?

Would love to hear from people who have gone through similar experience.

Women get is all they demand by default under the women's charter. You need to counter with an offer and reason why not to.

Protip - fix your marriage or go home and get separated/divorced. No man I know here has had what I would consider a reasonable / short and fair divorce. Without extremely deep pockets she can roll you completely. I know men here who have had child support and alimony levied at a rate higher than their actual monthly salary.
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!

Wow so there's no clear guidelines at all?

No. There's no legislated guidelines. The amounts are settled in mediation or at trial.
