Does SC application approval comes with special terms and conditions?

Post by he110panda » Sun, 29 Oct 2017 12:11 pm

Hi, I was born in Singapore and immediately got my PR status as my dad is a PR at the time we were born. Im 29 years old, single, private degree holder, earn less than 3k and moved to Johor Bahru with my parents about 10 years ago and has been travelling to and fro for work everyday since then.

Now, I would like to apply for SC. Understand my chances are rather low given that I have not lived in SG for the past 10 years (but occasionally does stay overnights at siblings' house). Should I get approval, does the government grant approval that comes with terms and conditions like I am required to stay permanently in SG if I get my SC? I am planning to buy a single flat when I reach 35 years old though.

Any advice for my case? Thank you!

SC Approval is Yes or No

There aren't any special T&Cs other than the standard obligations you need to fulfill as a Citizen.

No you don't need approval.

Tax obligations etc apply as required.

Thank you, good to know. I'm going for my e appointment tomorrow. Is it like an interview or simply just to verify the documents? Do they ask questions?

E appointment = verification of documents

Unless something changed
