About the cheapest is $560/mo if you give her one day off every week and she is not from the 'peens. I have a Burmese and it costs me around $640/mo as she never takes a day off (which is okay for us - no issue) and the CPF levy (we are antiques so we pay the minimum Levy rate of $60. You might get one cheaper but is will be under the counter in all probability.

That's interesting, with the levy I always thought 800+. And of course you have to feed them.

I've never had a maid so all my info is anecdotal, some of it from maids, although they are probably at the higher end of the scale.

For normal people the levy is a lot higher. As I said, my wife & I are antiquities and the maid is to take care of an even older antique (90+) and a 9 year old. As we are old we are given a special levy rate of a flat $60/mo.
