Hi Crew!
First post here, but I imagine there'll be plenty more as I get to grips with living in Singapore.
I was hoping someone could advise me regarding bringing antidepressants, specifically sertraline into the country.
I've checked the HSA website regarding bringing medications into Singapore, but I'm still unsure. I don't know whether sertraline is considered a 'common medicine' or a 'controlled substance' as it is not listed on the Appendix A - Health Products (Therapeutic Products) Regulations 2016. But, it is a prescription medicine!
I have:
- Less than 3 months supply (boxed with identification)
- A script from my doctor for the medication
- A doctor's certificate explaining why I require it
Will this be sufficient? Should I lodge an application for a licence to bring in the medication? The HSA website says I should lodge one with 10 days to spare, but I'm moving next week and am worried it won't get processed in time.
Does anyone know about this sort of thing? Any advice you can offer? Please let me know!
Thanks in advance!
