US expat question regarding Medical

Post by Gesyca » Tue, 18 Jul 2017 6:34 pm

Can anyone help me understand what the requirements are for obtaining medical insurance if we are to work in a foreign country? I do not believe the contract I am looking at now would include a medical insurance coverage, but I believe obtaining medical insurance is now required by US American law.

Locking this topic as you have asked essentially the same question in another thread. I am unaware of any law that requires you to buy insurance as an expat. But, you would be a fool not to buy insurance because, as an expat, you have no standing in any kind of social insurance program that might cover citizens.
