Seeking advise on PR Application

Post by lsh.92 » Wed, 12 Jul 2017 1:12 am

Hi Guys,

I have been reading th forum for almost a year and is now hoping if you could provide some advise on my situation.

I am a singaporean female, chinese and earning 45k per annum, 25 years old. My husband and i recently got married on 26th May 2017, in singapore. My husband is a 26 year old male, whom have been in singapore since 7 years old. He is a Malaysian Chinese, whom did his studies here from Pri > Sec > ITE > Private Dip at Kaplan. He has been working in Singapore since 18 and have paid taxes for the past 3 years. His annual income is around 40k. He has recently changed his career in March, now in a big firm in th property management industry, holding S Pass.

Before marriage, we have tried to apply for Pre-marriage LVTP but it was unsuccessful even after 2 attempts. We were guessing its probably because he is on working permits. So we have given up th hope on applying for LTVP or LTVP+.

We are planning to apply for PR in november/december as we are hoping to apply for BTO soon. Resale option are not working well for us. Will you please advise if applying based on th spouse scheme or as an individual would stand a higher chance of getting approved? Whether he is applying as spouse or individual, we could get his boss to write a recommendation letter or something recognising his contributions and efforts for th company.

Thanks much!

LTVP/LTVP+ has a less stringent criteria than PR. So if your spouse does not qualify during pre-LTVP then it is almost certain that he won't qualify for PR. But you said, he has changed work and is now on an SPASS. You should try to see whether this change improves the pre-LTVP chances first.
