Update about my PR application

Post by revhappy » Wed, 05 Sep 2012 8:22 pm

After exactly 2 months of applying I get a letter to submit full CV of mine and my wife's family members.

While we were opening the letter my heart was racing like a ferrari, (it still is as I write this) hoping that it is not the dreaded one line rejection letter.

Not treating this as a positive or a negative but instead as round 1 completed and getting ready for the next :)

Excellent!!! It took me 8 months to get that letter, and I believe they didn't request any more information after that. Good luck. I just finalized my PR yesterday after a 13 month wait. It looks like your on track for a much faster approval.
Uno mas, por favor.

Filled the family details forms yesterday night, turned out to be 4 sheets, haha.

Was confused whether to fax it, post it or go in person and submit it. Then just decided to follow the instructions it say "post it" on the letter so just went to Tampines Post office stood in the queue bought envelope, stamp and posted it.

So I am done with it for the moment and I can relax over the weekend :)

@ Raj1305, congratulations.
I want to share my story. I came in singapore 2014 married to singaporean. I completed my degree in IT at Singapore, start work on LTVP pass on little salary 2xxx. I apply PR in june 2016 and got approved in Augest 2017. It takes almost 13 months. Meantime i send email twice to ICA first to update my studies second to ask status of my application.

One day I got letter PR approved :)

Haha, yes I remember the transition, although I don't think he likes to be reminded of it.

Yeah, long time no see, x9200, hope you're keeping well. I'll be paying a short visit back to the red dot in October, so maybe we can have an Eagles gathering while I'm in town. I'm already in contact with SMS about that.

Anyway, back to the topic of the thread, my apologies for hijacking it... Raj1305, thanks for sharing your details for future reference for others, and congratulations again.
