I know some FDW who live "off premises" in shared accommodation. It costs about $15 a day in addition to their wage. I do not know the legality of this but it seems more common than I initially realized. They do not live in HDB's btw but cheap private apartments (4 to a room). They are of course registered as living at their employer's home.
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!

It is illegal, to live off premises, hence my asking the OP what her status is ..

That it is common doesn't mean it has to be condoned ... :(

They're coached to say they're "visiting" friends.... and there's no official curfew on FDW's anymore. Frankly I don't think it matters and a lot of better off people really don't want an FDW in the house 99% of the time.

And lot of locals lose their sh*t 1% of the time the maid is out of their sights :D

And official curfews exist for local employers ..
