Anyone receive a rejection letter and call back?

Post by perseverancelevon » Fri, 23 Nov 2012 11:41 am

Hello guys,

anyone has rcv a rejection letter and call back to ask for the reason behind? I've alot of past medical reports and was requested by Shenton clinic for them. All my medical reports seems fine as the specialist said there was no restriction in flying. I was suspected for glaucoma but everything is normal, meaning that I did not have glaucoma. Even so, a pilot has got glaucoma and can even operates a plane, I find no reason why. ): Anyone call back to SIA and ask?

Many thanks

In any flying career, if you have something deteriorating such as glaucoma, they won't take you from the start.

If your glaucoma developed after fying for a while, you can continue to fly as long as it doesn't affect your performance (tests) and you're receiving proper treatment.

I doubt you can dispute about this, although I understand that you want to hear from them (to tell you directly).

hi, thank you for your reply. But I was just being suspected and was being discharged from glaucoma clinic to normal eye clinic. I am going for my next appointment next year. Do you think its possible to try again if I am totally discharged from the clinic?

Many thanks. (:

Hi

Any of you have tried the appeal? Seems like SIA will not consider the appeals..

Too bad they wont entertain your appeals. I have tried before and they told me to wait at least 6 month before i can apply for the position again and i have to start the interview stage from the beginning like other new candidate. my case is high blood pressure. i was told by the doctor at Mount E that i don't have permanent evidence that i have high blood pressure but the decision still up to SIA whether to hire or to reject my application. In the end i got my rejection letter after 2 week from my management round. its does broke my heart and i felt so bad. But i always believe everything happen for a reason and i wont give up this dream and still continue to try again and again.

Hi ikip84
Does it mean that they keep the records of ppl who didn't clear the medical for 6 months??
I want to try again too, but information about banning is so limited.
Cheer up for you and everyone here! I understand how it feel like.

glaucoma has different levels on each and everyone. it should be treated seriously especially you are a pilot and you carry lots of lives with you. try reading this https://steveseah.blogspot.com/

I've received a rejection letter and sent them an email asking the reason for it but... I've yet to hear from them. Help?? Should I call them instead (what's the number anyway)? Or should I just continue to wait for their reply? Or should I go for my own full body check up and send them the medical reports showing that I'm suitable and safe to fly?
