I have suffered a few times from severe bloating caused by eating fruits (like papaya) that were cut and kept in the fridge for a while ... it was painful, to say the least ...

I've ended up in the A&E on more than one accession because of this.

The only medication that helped me was Zantac effervescent tablets. Like magic. Back to normal in 10 mins.

I do not know whether these are prescription drugs or not ... you will need to check.

Hope this helps.

hard to say... bloating can be a result of many things... from minor problems to very serious ones.

please don't take too many activated carbon (charcoal) pills, or too regularly. those are for your irregular food poisonings, not regular occurrences.

keeping a food dairy (with time) will help your doctor nail it down - include everything you ingest, including supplements.

U should take supplement and not medicine. To me medicine is a drug. Not that good for the body. Probiotic is something you can consider. I give that to my son as he has sensitive tummy. I can recommend you the one I am buying.

for whatever reasons, zantac is the only drug that gave me immediate relief ...

don't get much time to experiment due to excruciating pain ...

fortunately, it's only happened 4-5 times in decades ...

because we don't know the underlying cause, it's hard to say what works best.

probiotics can exacerbate problems in some people. there's no truth to "supplements are better than medicine" - it depends on the person and his/her problem!

zantac is not a cure-all... because we don't know why he feels bloated, it might not be the best thing to ingest.

Yup. Painkillers provide immediate relief and we are so glad when it works! :D

Totally agrees with you. Anyway, not everyone of us here suits to consume supplements.

But well, I'm just offering my personal experience. :D

Do you always have this problem, whilst in Europe? Living in SG, I constantly get bloated stomach and stomach aches. My mom would leave cooked food out for over 2 hours and we would eat it as is. And this food treatment is not restricted to my household. Just walk around your local hawker center and you will know what I mean.

My stomach problem ended once I started living in the USA. Where there is a higher awareness of food safety and storage.

Thanks everyone for replying.

Basically i have sort of gastritis and my doctor back to home prescribe medicine.I took medicine but he told me repeat cycle after 3-4 months. Situation unfortunately getting worse early and i really confuse what to do. Its now 2 months since i take medicine last time.
I might just start take medicine early or maybe use some minor medicine for cure some symptoms for now.

Charcoal tablets good but not really helping for relieve gas from stomach. Mostly its really well work when you eat something bad.

I went to Pharmacy and they advise me take Motilium but don't really help me much.

I would like to go to doctor but my company here don't have any insurance and i think its very expansive to see doctor.

Not sure if your situation warrants a visit to a specialist. But for mild illnesses, I just go to those neighborhood doctors and pay out of pocket. It is not that expensive.
