For what? Prostitution? Political activities? Petty theft?
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!

Hi, PNGMK.

Why do you think so ?

I see the negative side and I am planning to engage a lawyer to make appeal in case of rejection.
But I am not sure what else they can write in the appeal (since the education certs submitted already in the first EP application).
I am not sure if I engage lawyer to appeal, do I need to inform my employer..

If they reject your EP because of what you did, there is no way any lawyer is going to help you, unless it is about helping you to spend your money.

Besides, an appeal in any cases concerning immigration/work passes makes only sense if there is something new and important to be added to your case. In any other situation, don't even bother with a lawyer or without.

So you haven't been rejected but wanna go on offensive?

Uh no.

There's gonna be one winner if that happens and it won't be you.

Even those who were accused but proven innocent don't get elevated to special status, in your case .. no chance.

If it was a warning there may not be a record. If it was warning with a record then it may be an issue but we have seen people with actual convictions manage to hang on to their EP's. The MOM and ICA have some flexibility but it depends a little on the IO's report. Did the AGC NOT recommend charges? If so why not?

Hi PNGMK,

It is conditional warning, so it comes with record I think.
It is quite ridiculous for actual convictions still get ep renewed ?
Do you mean conviction and pay fine and therefore no record, and ep will be renewed ?
Yes, warning means not recommend charges, should be able to renew but with record it is difficult to say...

And I know a guy who's pass renewal was rejected and after lot of trauma turned out he was suspected of something but nobody bothered to investigate.

Once cleared, all was fine.

You're all over the place here aren't you?

1. Conditional warning. Good.
2. As stated MOM/ICA have some flexibility. Maybe a littering offense get approved but a murder not? The actual charge AND penalty come into it.
3. You're confusing composition with conviction. If you are offered a composition for an offense and you're on an EP TAKE IT! IT means no court time.
4. Probably can unless they work out you're an actual idiot.
