Semester Class in Singapore

Post by piyushdabomb » Sat, 03 Sep 2016 5:30 pm

Hi Everyone,

I am interested in taking basics in Accouning class from a university in Singapore without having to get a full time or part time degree or diploma. I also don't want to take a three day workshop. Instead, I'd like to just take a semester class from a university, learn what I need to learn, and apply it to my business.

Does anyone know where I can find such a class in Singapore?

I am happy to take a one or two days per week evening or weekend course. Class is paid by my employer.

Your help is freaky appreciated.

PS - online classes are not an option because I like to ask numerous questions in a classroom type setting.

Acca, Aat ...

You can always opt for rye basics and stop.

Plus Ite has basic book keeping course.

No uni (from what I know) will enroll you for one semester.

Is that freaky enough ?

Even if you were to find a university willing to take you on an audit basis, you will have difficulty obtaining any kind of residence permit that would allow you to stay for a whole semester.

Then you need to call around to the various uni's and see if they will let you audit a class. Quite common in the USA (although nearly as expensive, fee wise as taking a course for credit) but I don't know if Singapore uni's engage in the practice.

not possible to audit... he can go through the same undergraduate admissions program... then enrol and take whatever course he qualifies for... no stress about grades, progressing to a more difficult course, etc.

have a look at scale.nus.edu.sg (i think NTU and SMU and SIM all have something similar). they may have what you want...?
