Buy hoverboard before we leave US?

Post by ivysmom » Sat, 23 Jul 2016 2:43 pm

We are moving to SG from US in two weeks. We want to buy a hoverboard (not a high end one, but one of the more basic ones) for my daughter's upcoming birthday. Should we buy one here and include in our container or buy one there? No idea if they're hard to come by in SG or more expensive than in US. Tried to google it with no luck. Any info appreciated. Thank you.

The electric bicycle shop downstair from my office has hoverboards in their window. I don't know too much about them, but they had 3 different models on display from S$299 to S$499.

Bought my son (aged 9) this hoverboard: http://hoverboard.com.sg/product/hoverboard-x-2-black/ Been using it for one month and he loves it. Cost $SGD 499 ($USD 370). Amazed how quickly he has taken to it - much easier than I thought it would be.
