Part Time MBA from SIM Global

Post by whiteiswhite » Wed, 13 Jul 2016 5:54 pm

It has been about 10 months that I have been working in Singapore on EP. Given the previous experience of about 5 years, I am planning to do MBA to take a step further in my career.

I was researching online about various part-time MBA courses available in Singapore (not requiring GMAT) and found that SIM Global provides part-time MBA course: http://www.simge.edu.sg/gePortalWeb/app ... =SIM001945 which may be a perfect fit for me.

Can anyone who knows about MBA courses suggest on this course and if it will be beneficial for me to do it from SIM Global?

If not, please suggest others as I am really interested to do MBA.

I am an IT engineer (software developer) with more than 5 years of experience. I am planning to do MBA in business analysis and development.

Please suggest.

Thanks a lot.

I think another to look at is the SP Jain one. NUS and NTU etc offer them as well but they're quite expensive.
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!

Just be sure that whichever program you choose, you properly vet it. More than a few people have found that the degrees they paid for were worthless because the university is not accredited.

Thanks for your response. I am basically referring back from the link I posted in my message above. It states that "The school has received ‘triple-crown’ accreditation from The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), Association of MBAs (AMBA) and European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS)."

What do you think about it?

Also, if there is any SIM Global MBA Alumuni who can basically respond how recruiter respond to this qualification when you have to look for a job?

Thanks

My opinion of SIM and SMU (are they the same?) is that they are resellers of prepackaged degrees offered on extension or remotely. I would go for a legitimate in country MBA such as SP Jain, The Chicago one, NUS, NTU etc. A remote or extension degree is just not the same and a huge part of the MBA program is meant to be networking opps.
