I am looking to buy a used Sedan car that is around 4-5 years old. Would any know how the selling price of a used car in Singapore is calculated?

Specifically I'm looking at a Kia or Hyundai since they are known to provide good value and reliability.

It's calculated on the paper value (i.e. remaning CPF and PARF rebate value) plus a number for the value of the body (which typically reduced to almost nothing for those brands as they get older) plus 'coffeee money'. It really helps if you can find out the 'scrap (paper) value' or even estimate it based on the year/month the car was registered. The owner can look up the scrap value online on the onemotoring website.

If you're working a private seller, $$ should be less. Use sgcarmart listings to negotiate with dealers. I got quite a bit off my car, including reduced insurance costs.

The value of the car body at time of COE expiration is a function of the car brand/model, and supply of expiring cars around the same time. There is a healthy market of exporters who are happy to take a nice 10-year Singapore and export to another country (as far as Africa). The last time I shopped, I was quoted 3-4K body value for a small luxury 3-series, and close to 10K for a upscale German convertible. Conditions vary, obviously.

Is there anyone who can possibly give me some authentic info regarding exporting a Singaporean Scrap car to UK.. Like what are the rules to export an scrap car and whether it legal to do that or not.

Official exporters in Singapore can help with the export out of Singapore (which is relatively easy and there are a lot of them in this business).

Importing into the UK needs specialist knowledge I suspect and you should contact an importer there. The guys on wheelerdealer seem to bring in cars from the USA to UK ok - I assume they need to pay shipping and possibly VAT and then have a MOT done but there may be more to it than that.

Thanks for the info you provided. In UK we don't have any problem for importing any kind of car from anywhere more or less.... All the JDM cars are there from very long time and the duty isn't very high. there are custom charges and few other things which are well clear to all.. my main concern is that would it be possible to import (Singaporean scrap cars) or not.. like terms and condition to take out the NON COE cars out from Singapore to a country where they can be well use.
But you are correct i should contact any importer in UK and check in Singapore too who are the car exporters only then i can be 100% sure how the system works in Singapore.
