Somebody to enlight me? Thanks.

Post by cresus » Thu, 10 Dec 2015 5:18 pm

Hello,

I am currently living in Ukraine , I am a fresh graduate in Aerospace Engineering in MRO.
I have been looking around to get my Master degree in one of the best Universities which provide affordable cost according to my my capabilities or those of my parents.

Thus, I have found one University In Singapore, TUM Asia, with a combined program both from Germany and Singapore Engineering skills. I have decided to give it a go!

However, it has been now over a year, I am not able to get the 6.5 required for my IELTS report in order to meet the requirements .:( Very annoying. Altought I am pretty I am capable of doing it. I guess I am not coping because I am from a french spoken Country and here living in a Russian or Ukrainian spoken Country. But I am not that sure.

Short to say, I am looking currently into apply for english courses at British Council in Singapore the Napier one seems to fit my needs(10 Jan to 23 MArch). My question is, if accepted, Am I going to be able to continue my journey as a student after I end my course? Since the university resume on 01Aug.

SO sorry for the long story above. I just though was worth to give you some details. Oh! I am available to answer any question if you have some!

Thanks in advance.

what are your (back-up) plans if you still don't get a good score?

is the BC course tailored for students preparing to sit for the IELTS?

Thank for your reply. I am certain that I will just improve my score , studying and living in an English spoken Country that, I am sure, I learn very fast and assimilate aswell.

There a wide range of course advertised on the BC website. Additionally, there are some which target students like me.
So my inquiry stay the same will I be able to continue my journey without having to leave the Country after my Course?
Anyone please share some ideas on that.

Thanks

For Singapore and your goals this may actually work against you. Google Singlish. Google Singdarin.

That's what the advertisement says.

All of us who speak English know otherwise.

i type with one hand as my other is broken.

i don't quite understand this... journey. do you mean: what are the guaranteed ways of getting 6.5 (or better) in your IELTS?

when did you arrive in Singapore?

What I meant by journey is my time from studying English till I finish my Master degree.
