I tried to buy in that area many years ago but the banks kept turning me down. Another iconic Singapore area lost no doubt.

Have hipsters moved in already? How many craft beer breweries have vegan, free-range, gluten-free quinoa and kale on the menu?

I'm just kidding; we all know Singapore is too sterile for hipsters. Instead, you get Chinese and Indians in their mid-twenties, most probably working in the financial sector, with the occasional flat rented out to expats from "Western" countries.
