i believe financial status is 1 of the factor in their consideration, they will required you to update your latest financial status if they considering to approve you.

If you are going to job hopping, is still ok, get a job immediately to lower the risk of rejection.

Do the ICA ask for latest payslip before the approval?

Update Process and progress. hope can help for those who just gotten the IPA.

1. Upon received IPA, complete the SG Journey online, Singapore Experience Tour, Community Sharing session & Surveys.
2. Once completed, wait for around 1 week for the final approval letter to mail it over to your post box.
3. Renounce citizenship @ your home country Embassy. Not applicable for Minor below 21 yrs old. Minor who below 21 Yrs old can hold on dual country passport.

For Malaysian, pls bring along documents as below. (Submission of form only in the morning. Collection of document only in the afternoon)

1. Malaysia Passport ( 2 copies)- you may want to copy few more as that's the last you will see your Malaysia passport. (do not renounce if you got travel plan in between, you can only obtain your Singapore passport after renounce done and the appointment date in your Final approval letter)
2. Malaysia IC (2 Copies)- you may want to copy few more as that's the last you will see your Malaysia passport
3. Malaysia Birth Cert - they will hold it for 3-4 months and return to you.
4. Passport size Photo - 3 pcs
5. ICA Approval letter - (2 Copies)
6. Form to obtain and fill up there. ( fill up by Black pen & all in Capital letter)

after the officer assess, you will be given number and proceed counter for all documents. paid for $6.60 and wait for 3 working days to collect your document.

Hi, I submitted my Singapore citizenship application on end of November and going to have interview on 4th December. Can anyone share what the interview is about and what kinds of questions the officer will ask during the interview. Thanks!

Dear xdks312,

The interview not means that they ask you question by question. the session is to asses your documents, to check on some queries. question case to case basis.

the status will remain "Pending" till you complete the SGJourney and when you receive your official approval letter.

On PR no. No idea on SC, but you need to get PR first and the car is likely to be paid off by the time you get SC, but I doubt it would affect that either.
