I have no clue what you mean by the above. The answer is clear. And repeated before. If he had a Singaporean mother or father, he has to do NS.WiganMick wrote: But how good of a Soldier would a Thai, Malaysian and Indonesian make if he was forced to fight for Singapore

Immigration at destination know who is on each plane as soon as the manifest is confirmed before they take off from the point of origin. So immigration at destination already have flagged up any red flags well before arrival.sundaymorningstaple wrote:It won't be long that they will be able to pick up deserter/dodgers in the Transit Lounges of airports as pretty soon, immigration/police will be notified of who is on a plane before it even takes off.
Wigan, what do you want? A pardon? Write to the president. Nothing else will get your son out of his NS obligation. The govt cannot budge on this one; as soon as they do then they will have thousand's of defaulters and deserters. I am an Aussie with a son in Singapore; for all of his 14 years I have made sure he understands he will do NS. Today (a school holiday) he is at the Home Team Academy on a leadership training course as an NPCC corporal - the only boy from his state school to make it to the CLDC. I cannot tell you how proud I am of him becoming a man and how pleased I am that he has an avenue ahead of him.WiganMick wrote:It was all down to timing sundaymorningstaple Sun, 01 Nov 2015 5:41 pm and ecureilx Sun, 01 Nov 2015 7:28 pm
