WD - I want to be Singaporean. Not PR but Singaporean. When I write this I am reminded of my mother telling me the story of the crow who wanted to be a peacock. Not sure you have heard it but I am seriously wondering if I should reapply. I have still not gotten the mail rejection. I wonder where that is now?Wd40 wrote:Thanks Manoj, BTW, 3/1 to 8/5 is 7 months, lah.
We are basically flying blind here. Not sure, what the criteria is and whether re applying is worth it or not.
I know of another Indian who was rejected on the 2nd application and then he appealed and got approved. I wonder what he mentioned in the appeal letter. The PR approval process in Singapore is probably the ultimate black box of human history.
what reasons/changes will you cite during your appeal?Manoj.K wrote:WD - I want to be Singaporean. Not PR but Singaporean. There is no mention that I will be welcome in future. I love Singapore but I am not a crow. Thanks everyone for your inputs. See you in my next life. and... did ICA welcome you to reapply again in future or...?
those two might help determine whether or not you're wasting your time (appealing THIS application).
They dont mention it any more to most people, except for the one specific favorite race, coming from the 2 neighbouring countries, for whom PR is automatic, if they spend XX years.Manoj.K wrote: There is no mention that I will be welcome in future. no news might b good newsManoj.K wrote:It's been 6+ months of waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting & then some more... Status still shows "pending". Some people who applied after me have gotten their PR cards (sigh!), some people have gotten rejection notices (damn!), some Angmoh's got their coveted status in 3 months! I am still waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting & waiting some more...
