You may pay the angmoh tax in the old style ones if they are near the expat districts. Often they have no prices displayed.

There is a DIY in Great World City but not much there.

Prices will be higher in these anyway to cover the higher rent of being "near the expat districts."

Prices should be better if you happen to be near heartland areas (e.g. Ang Mo Kio, Bukit Batok, Jurong, etc.) or industrial areas (e.g. Jalan Besar, Ubi, etc.). Cheaper rents --> less overhead to show up in prices.
