Cheap beer - good conversation

New to Singapore, and looking for a pub / bar where expats hang out till late to chat and drink ...

Any recommendations please?

What area do you live in? I'm sure you'd rather have suggestions close to your home, but If you live over the east area you could try the Sidewalk Tavern or Dog and Bone in Siglap or maybe Scruffy Murphy's on the beach.

Prince of Wales on Dunlop Street in Little India is pretty good.... beers from $6 bottle / $10 pint, and the draught is a really good Aussie microbrew.

Heard they just opened one on Boat Quay too.. not been there yet but mates say the prices are the same which makes them pretty cheap for that area!

Clarke quay is the best place for a light drink after work. Hooters is awesome!

Yep, for the high prices you pay, you have to say that is best ...

Meanwhile I will stick to 24$ jug of draft beer elsewhere

Ahhh...I miss the 16 SGD Tiger Beer towers in Ho Chi Minh...

I came across a quite cozy chill-out place selling the cheapest tiger beer tower in singapore so far, only $46nett.. damn cheap! and their bottled french wine only $28nett, hard liquor also damn cheap.. at village hotel, albert court, beside laselle and nearby little india mrt. facebook is "the chill-i pad-i singapore".
