Ovarian Cysts and Trying to Concieve

Post by SKD13 » Fri, 18 Feb 2011 9:01 am

Hi everyone,

I went off the pill in November because my husband and I wanted to try and conceive. However I didnt get a period at all and went to see my gynaecologist in January. She did an ultrasound and found that I have cysts on my ovaries. Then she gave me some medicine to get an artificial period and also clomid for 3 cycles to try and conceive. For the cysts she basically said dont worry and if you get pregnant they will go away.

I got an artificial period and also had clomid for one cycle. But the issue is I've been having some shotting pains on and off in my pelvic area and my stomach seems quite bloated. I am a little worried now and want to see if someone could recommend a gynaecologist / fertility specialist. My doc is very motherly but I htink shes always in a rush and almost feels like she shouldnt give you all th einfo because you'll get scared. I'd like to see someone who can talk to me openly and is patient and available.

Any recommendations esp if someone has seen a doctor for this specific issue would be great. My doc said to come back if I got pregnant or if the 3 cycles of clomid finished. However I think because of the pains I should see someone. Its scaring me quite a bit.

Thanks!

Dr PC Wong and his team of OBS and Gynae at Womens Clinic NUH. Ask for Dr Kee Loo or Mary Rauff. My wife went for the latter. Both are very good.
Good Luck
